I’m honestly kind of amazed at the thickness of the wire on these hooks. They’re definitely built tough! The only think with the is their size, the 14s are 12s in my opinion! Solid product!
Thanks for the review, Kurt. The Z's are one of our more popular hooks, but you're dead on, they must be sized up a bead. We're preparing a table to go on our website with our jig-style hooks and which of our bead sizes they will fit. We should have that table out in March.

Love this innovative approach to selling/buying hooks. I can “top up” easily and experiment more. The shape, sharpness and strength of the hooks are superb as well. Will definitely be using Saluda for my ongoing bead and hook needs. I sure hope you take this mix and match approach to other materials as well!! Thanks for the review, Warren. We're always looking for products where this mix-and-match would work. To date, we're solely in the 'hardware' of tying materials, but we're always open to suggestions.
The selection at Saluda Beads continues to grow, and now includes a nice wide gape heavy jig hook my preference especially for jig streamers. I also really appreciate the ability to mix and match my order among the various sizes and hook shapes, all for competitive pricing. I'll be fishing a lot more Saluda beads & hooks.
If there's anything we're missing in our lineup, drop us a line. We are adding 5.5 tungsten beads for those who 'go big, or go home.' We're also testing (and looking to add) dumbbells and brass beads (for those low and slow waters where you just don't need the depth).
They are quick with answers to questions and the hooks are sharp. I have not had a problem with them bending yet and they stay sharp even after multiple fish. I would highly recommend!!!!
